Set in Williams Faulkner's home in Oxford, Mississippi, "OH, MR. FAULKNER, DO YOU WRITE?" is a film culled from a play-for-one-actor based on the life of the Nobel Prize winning writer. It takes place the day after it has been announced from Stockholm that Faulkner is to be the recipient of the Nobel Prize (1950) and is set up as a conversation between Mr. Faulkner and a fictional press corps. The film includes a series of humorous and insightful stories about Faulkner's days in Hollywood, his opinions of the North and the South, the Civil War, slavery, other writers, women, and his own family.
