Stash 28 launches 2007 with two full hours of sensory overload. It's a sweeping international panorama of animation, VFX, motion graphics plus behind the scenes extras from huge, expensive cinema spots to proudly-weird no-budget short films and many variations in between.
Highlights include the startling PS3 campaign from Asylum (on the cover), the machinima-generated Halo 3 clip from Joseph Kosinski and Digital Domain, Framestore NY's new holiday Coke spot, Psyop's balletic Motley Bird and the world premier of Aaron Stewart's cheeky new labor of love called 'Banana Switcheroo'.
The BONUS FILM this issue is another CG stunner from Warsaw studio Platige Image. Director Marcin Pazera's newest short, 'Moloch', has been knocking out audiences at festivals all over the world and is now available for the first time on disk on Stash 28.
Stash 28 will introduce you to El Ranchito from Madrid and their beautiful new work for Honda, Motion Logix from Beijing and their kinetic new take on basketball kicks, Ruff Mercy and Blac Ionica from London and their new broadcast design clips, Eye Candy Animation from Sydney, and Bug from Norway with their fabulous exploding lemmings.
The rest of the reel is an exhilarating tour through some of the most vital companies (big and tiny) in the industry: you'll find Shilo for Samsung, The Embassy for Chevrolet, Buf for Nissan, Against All Odds for Tylenol, Up the Resolution for Space NK, Nando Costa for Nike, Kris Moyes for Softlightes, Aardman Animation for the Wildscreen Festival and Saiman Chow, Joel Trussel and Friendswithyou for way2quit.com.
And we close Stash 28 with the first disk-based round-up of all seven Zune virals from tokyoplastic, Motion Theory , SSSR and Passion Pictures, Bent Image Lab, Bitstate, OgreMagi, and Suzanne Deakin and Slinky Pictures.
