Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie have collaborated and toured their live and screen work nationally and internationally for the past twenty five years. Their commissioned screen dance work has received numerous international awards including the Czech Crystal Prague Golden Film Festival (2002), Honourable Mention Paula Citron Award Toronto 2002, Special Jury Golden Award Houston (2003), Best Woman Film Media Waves Hungary (2003), The Romanian National Office of Cinematography Award (2003) and Special Jury Mention "Il Coreografo Elettronico-2004" at Napolidanza 2004. Aggiss and Cowie’s book Anarchic Dance published by Routledge, is a visual and textual record of their live and screen dance work. A psychological portrait of a lonely and demented aristocrat, who is filled with long repressed memories and conjured demons. Adapted from a Butoh stage performance, set in Germany amongst the opulent Prussian palaces of Sans-Souci and the textured ruins of the Fabrik Potsdam.
Eric Koziol is a media artist specializing in dance films and inter-active video environments for live performance. A founding member of H-Gun Labs, a media making collective operating in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco from 1989 -2001, creating clips for artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Public Enemy, Soundgarden, De La Soul, DJ Shadow, Megadeth, and Diamanda Galas. His films and performances have been exhibited in multiple North American and European festivals. Originally a photographer, filmmaker and theater director, Shinichi Iova-Koga entered the life of Butoh dance in 1991 and in 1998, he founded the performance company inkBoat. whose productions have been experienced throughout the North America, Europe and Japan.
